There a short two question interview with Kristin in the latest "Star" Magazine. It is located on page 87, and goes as followed:

Star: "You film Smallville in Vancouver. What's it like to be a TV star who lives in Vancouver?

Kristin: "If we were in L.A. I think they'd expect us to be out there more, being part of "young Hollywood". And you're always being told that your career could disappear in a second. Being in Canada, I haven't had those pressures, which is wonderful for me."

Star: "You've said you still haven't decided whether you want to act all your life. Why?"

Kristin: "I know lots of really great actors, people who are very passionate about what they do. I don't think I'm that way. There are many other things I want to do in life: study, get a degree, maybe in enviromental or forensic science or archaeology."

There is a picture next to the interview with the caption: Kreuk says she used to be "really shy." "That's a huge part of why I started acting," she says.

Among other things, Kreuk's Lana has developed a new relationship with Jason Teague (Jensen Ackles), a storyline that will continue to develop. "The show has evolved a lot," Kreuk said. "They were going darker last year, which I actually thought was quite interesting, going more adult and a little darker. But it wasn't appealing to the same audience anymore. So they brought it back to being more youth-oriented, and there's more sex, and I think the storylines are starting to shift again. There were a lot of shuffles in The WB itself this year, so powers were kind of shifting, and I think the direction of the show got confused. But now it's coming together, and all these really great storylines that we have are being fleshed out a little more."

In a previous issue of Xpose magazine, Kristin Kreuk was featured in with Earthsea costar, Shawn Ashmore. The whole feature is on the SCI-FI miniseries, which will premiere next week on Monday, Dec 13, and Tuesday, Dec 14.

Here is what Kristin says about her character, Tenar.

She’s strong. She has her beliefs, and she sticks by them, and she’s willing to fight for them. But she’s a little different from a lot of the other priestesses in the sense that she’s a little more laid-back. She can relax a bit more and laugh, and she gets affected by things a bit more. … She’s still very self-contained, but incredibly strong.

We know Superman can leap tall buildings and run faster than a speeding bullet, but Vancouver actress Kristin Kreuk, Smallville's Lana Lang and a former patient of BC Children's Hospital, met a group of teens living with heart disease who give new meaning to ‘Superhero.'

Kreuk is hosting five members of the Hearts of Gold, a youth program of the Children's Heart Network for teens living with heart disease. These teens are also current and former patients of BC Children's Hospital, and that's where Kreuk comes in. “Recently I've been thinking a lot about what I want to dedicate some time and money to,” she says, “and I realized that the Children's Hospital is just a really great place to do that.”
