No, there's no Kristin in this video. But lets not be bias here and still work on getting this contest and video exposed as much as we can by rating and commenting on the video as much as we can, its for a good cause in which Kristin is apart of:
Signed T-shirt by the “special friends” does include Kristin!
quote:"so we are going to post the video on wednesday. what we are doing i srunning a contest that has a $10 entry. it is a video response to a video that allison is asking if you believe in superheros. we are asking for a 30 second response and the winner will recieve a customised "believe" shirt with allison and her friends. we have been very specific in the video not to mention the show as we had to work around many legal formalities but when we say "friends" you know who that means.
we are also not able to mention the name of the show. but we poked fun at the limitations that they put on us in the video. you will like it. it is very funny.
ALL the money we raise will go to a 5 yr old who is battling cancer. he has visited the set once and the cast fell in love with him. his spirit is so big and inspiring. he is a superhero. mondonation is also going to make a large donation.
if you are able to do me a favor, when you mention it, could you ask them to also subscribe to my channel, rate the video and also post a comment. and if possible, ask them to post as many comments as they can to help the video raise in the most discussed and highly rated.
this will help it get more views and will hopefully help to raise even more money.
i will send you the link as soon as we make it public. the cycle of a new video has a 2 day window for it to get honors. with your help, we can get this video seen by a lot of people.
thanks for your support"
quote:"it is so much work making a video get in the honours. it requires a lot of attention for the first day. but with a lot of people watching it and making comments, it will take some of the pressure off.
we really want to raise a lot of money for parker and his family. his mom is a single mom and has had to quit her job to care for parker and it is just a situation that we would like to help out a bit with.
yes, allison and her friends, but no, kristin isn't in this video, but she will be signing the shirt for the winner. and so will a few of the other cast members.
we have another video coming in a few days with kristin in it though."
That means each charity will be getting a check for an amazing $2034. Realize that the amount of each check is just $168 shy of our grand total last year ($2202)! We nearly TRIPLED our total donation amount!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated and took the time to spread the word. Without your help and support, we couldn't have been as successful as we were this year. I'm truly amazed by everyone's generosity and willingness to take such a little idea and turn it into something that's going to do so much good for so many people!
The checks will be cut on Friday, December 15th and like last year, I'll scan them in so everyone can see that amazing donation amount on there!
Thanks to Arista for the final total and write-up!
quote:"I am running a contest on YouTube with Kristin and Allison (Mack) to raise funds for another cause and I am hoping you will help me to spread the word. We are editing it today and will post it on Monday.
Would you be able to help me by informing your friends about it?
quote:""Kristin Kreuk has strutted her stuff numerous times, and one particular incident stands out for Chris. "We hung Kristin off the side of a bridge a good 150 feet over the Cleveland dam", states Chris. "There was roaring rapids underneath. That was completely her, which is fairly unheard of in this industry. As a stunt coordinator, I'm obviously always double checking everything, making sure she's comfortable and safe. I said, 'Kristin, how are you doing?' she was like 'Good, but can you get my book for me? I'm kinda bored.' she was going to read!""
quote:" "Another key stunt scene featured Isobel possessing Lana and going all Jackie Chan on Clark in season four Sacred. "We had to get in a very different Smallville style which was a Chinese style," reveals Chris. "It involved more of a dance fight, but with swords, martial arts, and actors. That reminds me of one of my favorite gags, which was where Kristin is leaning over Tom and is about to finish him off. Then Tom pushes her off and she flies backward. We flew her in the air 45 feet backward, turned her 180 degrees and landed her two feet from the camera. It was 100 percent Kristin and really precise wirework. It was phenomenal.""
Kristin is a really cool person. Not only is she honestly one of the most beautiful women I've ever had the pleasure of being around, she is really down to earth and sweet. Sometimes I had to force myself not to stare at her. I was very lucky to have a few great conversations with her. On my first day, a veteran PA said to me, "I've been working on the show for three years, man and I've never spoken to her. But she's amazing, right?" "You've never spoken to her? Why the fuck not?" "She's a celebrity man, you don't just say hi to her." ... In that moment I made it a point to introduce myself the first chance I got. I didn't have to wait long. The next day, she was on set and I bumped into her at the craft service table, with no one else around. I couldn't believe how lucky I was. She said, "I don't know why I'm here, isn't lunch in like fifteen minutes?" "Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing." (Of course I wasn't really there for the food.) "But they don't serve chocolate at lunch, and I need chocolate!" She laughed at herself, and made me laugh - just at her amazingly sweet nature. "I'm sure you wouldn't understand, women need chocolate." "So I've heard." At this point I think I was making a cup of tea that I didn't really want. "I'm dropoutfilms by the way." And I held out my hand... Then she did the sweetest thing ever, she wiped off her hand on her bum for what felt like forever. Keep in mind, I still have my hand extended, but now have a smile on my face thinking - whatever you have on your hand right now, it's way better than what I have on mine. She shook my hand and said, "Kristin" with a smile. "It's nice to meet you." Yeah. In case you can't tell, I have a huge crush on her - how could you not? She got called back to set sometime shortly thereafter.
But over the course of my time with the show we had a few pretty awesome conversations about books, films, music, the shittiness of the Smallville set, the city, what angles she photographs best from, etc.
I can honestly say that she is a very sweet, sincere, hard-working person. Unlike Tom, who takes a minimum of five minutes to get out of his trailer once called, Kristin is always on her way within seconds. She is nice to her fans, nice to the crew, everyone loves her. I think that she may be a pretty big star in a few years. She is also smart and reads awesome books (I suspect Tom Welling may be illiterate). She knits. Dislikes the show, and says she wants to 'get out of the business'.
THE ULTIMATE IMMIGRANT Clark (Tom Welling) is shocked to discover his neighbor Jed McNally (guest star John Novak) is holding migrant laborers captive and forcing them to work on his farm. Feeling guilty since he sees himself as the ultimate illegal immigrant, Clark seeks help from Martha (Annette OToole) to allow a young boy (guest star Tyler Posey) and his mother (Maria Dimou) to stay in the country.
Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Erica Durance, Allison Mack and John Glover also star.Caroline Dries wrote the episode directed by Rick Rosenthal.
Since it was Asian Heritage Night with Yao in town last week, I’m hoping it’s Canadian Heritage Night tonight. Visions swirl: Bryan Adams performing the Canadian National Anthem, Canadian bacon, fiddlehead ferns and caribou in the media dining room, the courtside seats filled by Nelly Furtado, Pam Anderson, Estella Warren, Kristin Kreuk, Avril Lavigne and Neil Young, a pair of Mounties (one word, fellas—motorcycles) throwing a rotting moose carcass at Isiah Thomas to show their appreciation for his contributions for Canadian basketball. And, of course, a halftime extravaganza featuring the incomparable Celine Dion. Tragically, none of this actually happens. Instead, we’re forced to take in Knicks/Raptors a la carte, which given their respective records is a hard pill to swallow. Eh?
Here's the thing, being hosted under Hollywood.com I'm not allowed to host video or audio. So the old video/audio page that was on this site had links coming directly from the sources of the videos/audios that were there.
Last night I went into the old video/audio page for the first time in a long time and came across none of the links working, not even ONE! I don’t know how long that’s been going on for, but I’m pretty sure a long time since I haven’t looked into that page in awhile.
So to do quick damage control I’ve decided to just have videos and link directly to my YOUTUBE account that I've created for this site 5 months ago.
I’ve also removed the Guestbook from the top boxes and added the YOUTUBE link there.
While I was pimping out the page with the color scheme of this site, I uploaded about 10 interviews and some other random videos.
For this occasion, John Glover (Lionel Luthor) will receive the Jules Verne Award Special for the whole of his career. To celebrate the event around the actor, Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, Erica the Durance, Michael Rosembaum and Allison Mack are announced, as well as many surprises on the topic of Smallville!
Nothing has been confirmed on wheatear Kristin will actually attend this years event. At last year's Jules Verne Kristin appeared on a big screen where she stated how she wished she could be there, which you can view below:
MOVIES IN COMPETITION: * Les Filles du Botanistes (France) * Lovelorn (Turkey) * Partition (USA) * David & Layla (Irak/Kurdistan/UK/USA) * The Promise (China/USA) * Cidade Baixa (Brazil) * L'Audition (Canada) * Kontakt (Macedonia/Germany) * Je ne suis pas là pour être aimé (France) * Water (India/Canada) * O Maior Amor Do Mundo (Brazil) * Pollen (Tahiti)
Hopefully it's not a mistake, because this brings me great joy that there's hope it'll release in the states!
ROME -- The first Tahiti Film Festival, due to start Saturday, has been canned.
Fest founder and producer Pascale Fortunat, head of the L.A.-based special events and marketing company Passions Prods., is accusing the French Polynesian government of ordering customs to block delivery of tech equipment and withdrawing support, though Vice President Jacqui Drollet vigorously denies his office is involved.
In an official statement, Fortunat declared "internal political challenges have materialized, of no practical consequence to the festival, which surface as exploitation of our company."
Fest organizers are hinting at a clash between embattled President Oscar Temaru and Culture Minister Tauhiti Nena and the mayor of Bora Bora, Gaston Tang-Song; latter two are strong supporters of the fest.
France had to call in riot police to quell tensions in the capital Papeete in early November when Temaru found it impossible to disperse protesters calling for his resignation....
...Jury lineup included Pierce Brosnan, Bob Rafelson, Natasha Henstridge and Bai Ling.
Fest's purview was romance in the movies, with 11 features in competition including "The Promise" (Chen Kaige), "Partition" (Vic Sarin) and "Lovelorn" (Yavuz Turgul).
Screenings were to be held in the evenings on an island in the Bora Bora Lagoon, with prizes handed out on Dec. 8.
Passions Prods., which launched the Tahiti fest at a gala party at the Cannes Film Festival in May, is negotiating for other dates.
