Girls by Design posted a new video on their Youtube Channel and asking what it means to be Beautiful! They're asking for video responds, so check it out below:
quote:"Maria. Everyone in the Philippines is named Maria, even the guys. Namewise, it’s a harmless and often pretty addition—like flowers to a hotel lobby or Kristin Kreuk to a TV show cast"
What do Lucy Liu, George Takei and Bruce Lee all have in common? Jason Nou can proudly say he owns them, or at least their tiny replicas, which are all part of his growing collection of Asian American action figures The-Other-Home-Run-Chase...
...His latest addition is Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang on Smallville."
For those who were unsure about Kristin's attendance to A Cappella Innovations this upcoming April. It seems to be pretty official that she won't be attending. The site has been updated and Kristin isn't listed on the judges page!
Also Kristin did confirm on facebook that she will be in Thailand for a few months, hence her absence in the post strike episodes of Smallville.
LIONEL KIDNAPS CLARK — Lionel (John Glover) arranges to have Clark (Tom Welling) kidnapped and held in a kryptonite-lined cell at a Luthorcorp facility. After Chloe (Allison Mack) and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) find a military electric probe at the farm, they confront Lionel, who throws suspicion onto Lex (Michael Rosenbaum). Kristin posted on her facebook the following on her role for the rest of season 7 of Smallville and the return for an 8th:
quote:"Hey Team...
So, I thought I would give those of you curious about Smallville a brief debrief. I am in Bangkok for a few more months. So, no shooting of the Ville for me. I will return for a undetermined, although small, number of episodes in season 8.
I am not really opening up the floor for lots of discussion, because it is not really the place for it. Obviously I have loved my time on the show, but I am equally as thrilled to move on to new endeavors. One of which is very dear to me, and that is GBD. So thank you all for your really fabulous support and passion!!! I hope this clears up most of the questions...

Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) are thrilled to meet up with their old friend but warn him against using his powers in public. However, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) discovers Pete’s powers and blackmails him into helping break into a Lionel’s (John Glover) safe by threatening to reveal Chloe is a meteor freak. Kristin Kreuk and John Glover also star.

Andrzej Bartkowiak (Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds) will direct while Dion Lam (Matrix, Spiderman 2) will choreograph the action and fight sequences. The film begins shooting in Thailand next week and is expected to shoot in Hong Kong."
Seems to be official that Kristin won't be returning for a full season 8 of Smallville... well not as official as Kristin herself saying something publicly!
Anywho... Smallville Executive Producer Al Gough gave TV Guide the following statement regarding Kristin's role in season 8:
quote:"Kristin will be back for a portion of the season — likely the first third"
Also word on the world wide web is, that Kristin won't be appearing in the remaining episodes of season 7 after 7.15 Veritas due to the filming of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
The latest trailer for Street Fighter IV the video game released this month featuring Chun-Li. Normally this wouldn't be news, but Chun-Li's facial appearance was freakishly very Kristin Kreuk like!
quote:"Apparently, both Michael "Lex Luthor" Rosenbaum and Kristin "Lana Lang" Kreuk won't be returning as regulars next season, though they may turn up in an occasional episode."
quote:"Smallville will return for an eighth season, but sources stated that Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk may not return the series as regulars. However, both actors are in talks of continuing Smallville in reoccurring parts right now. "
Today is the 6th year anniversary of this site being live online! Feels like just the other day it turned 1... :'(
Anyway, thanks to everyone who continues to visit this site regularly and Kristin for always being so awesome! Without you guys, this site wouldn't be soooo much fun to run! Seriously! :D
John Glover complimented Kristin in the latest issue of Smallville Magazine, issue #25:
quote:"Despite both being series regulars, Glover and Kristin Kreuk haven't shared a lot of scenes together so far, so any heated confrontations between them were a welcome opportunity.
"We enjoy playing together," says Glover. "Kristin is a terrific actress, and it is exciting to see her move foward as an actor. She's quite wonderul and beautiful.""
quote:"Body of Work: Another Smallville babe, the show's first, gets rid of any conception of Lana Lang as "homely farm girl". Kreuk is the most exotic girl next door ever made, and Clark would do himself some good to find a way to get him, Lana and Lois in that barn of his for a little superhero R & R. With Kreuk on her way to the big screen, as Chun-Li in the new Street Fighter movie, this Boob Tube Babe's good looks are primed for a deserved shot at movie stardom."

News is spreading about the casting change for Season 8 of Smallville. From BuddyTV.com:
quote:"According to Ausiello, Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk will not be returning to the series full time next year. However, both actors are open to doing limited engagements, and they are currently hashing out those details with the Smallville producers. While you definitely won't be seeing Lex Luthor and Lana Lang in all 22 episodes of season 8, they won't completely disappear from the series.
As I wrote in a previous article, I'm not exactly sad to see Lana Lang leave town. However, the majority of fans disagreed with me and wanted Lana to stay in Smallville for good. Over one thousand people voted in our poll about the issue, and 65 percent of them wanted Lana to stick around. Of course, Kreuk leaving doesn't mean that Clark and Lana can't end up together in the end. Though we know that Clark has to date Lois (Erica Durance) later on in life, I still think the finale of Smallville will leave "Clana" fans happy."
On another note, BuddyTV.com is doing a Smallville Season 6 Trading Cards Contest. You can check it out by clicking here. Thanks to BuddyTV.com for the following information.
quote:" More details, from a source within the studio: Now that Smallville is officially picked up for an eighth season, negotiations will begin with Allison Mack and Michael Rosenbaum, both of whom had contracts which end with Season Seven. No official deals have been signed for them as of yet. Kristin Kreuk will be back for at least part of Season Eight."
Seems to be true after all, that Kristin will only be returning for part of 8th season.
Michael Ausiello of TVGuide.com posted really interesting news about Kristin in the 8th season of Smallville:
quote:"Question: Now that we know that Smallville's coming back next season, when will we find out which cast members will be returning? — Kirsten
Ausiello: You'll find out right this second (Warning: This spoiler will dramatically and suddenly accelerate, climb, stop and dive. It is not recommended for Smallville fans who are expectant mothers or those with a history of neck or back conditions or heart trouble) OK, here we go: Everyone is expected to return for Season 8 except — wait for it, wait for it — Michael Rosenbaum and Kristen Kreuk. I'll give you a second to catch your breath. [Beat] Sources close to the show tell me that both actors have informed producers that they don't intend to return as series regulars next season. However, they are open to doing limited engagements, and those details are being worked out as we speak. Thanks for riding!"
True, false? Donno! But at least words spreading around that Kristin will be in the 8th season, that's good news!
A few people have pointed this out and I have to agree.... That is, Kristin's new hair cut looks a lot like the Chun-Li drawing Idrawgirls.com did of her a few months ago:
quote:"THE CW ANNOUNCES EARLY PICKUPS OF SERIES "Gossip Girl," "One Tree Hill," "Smallville," "Supernatural," "Everybody Hates Chris" And "America's Next Top Model" To Return Next Season
