From TV Guide:quote: "6. Smallville ( 2001–present) A young Clark Kent discovers that he has superpowers and must learn to control them while fighting villains in his home town of Smallville. In short, Superman is going through puberty. And a hard-and-fast rule is the Man in Tights is never to wear tights … ever.
The good: For the ladies, Tom Welling. For the gents, Kristen Kreuk and Allison Mack.
The bad: With the shows creator and most of its stars jumping ship, the show seems to be heading in a downward spiral.
The verdict: Enjoy it while you can, because it’s probably not going to be around much longer"

From Colider.com:
quote: "Kristin will be back for some episodes this season, which helps soften that a little bit because she’s been a very interesting actress in that she really sort of grew as the role grew. She started out one way and you look at her arc and in some ways she’s had as great of an arc as anybody else on the show."
From Eonline.com:quote: "Clark's Love Life, Lana Edition: Kristin Kreuk will be back, for five episodes total, right in the middle of the season, at what Swimmer calls "a fairly inopportune time." Like at a moment when Lois and Clark just happen to be making out in a closet? "It won't be that drastic, but you're not that far off." Still, when it comes to the legendary drama that is "Clana," Swimmer said, "Clark is getting past it. He's not mulling over it too much, he's learned his lessons, and it's time for him to move forward, but of course, when Lana shows up in person, that makes things a lot more complicated for him." Women! Can't live with 'em, can't chuck 'em up into the ionosphere. Jeesh."

Kristin's latest blog entry on Girls By Design:quote: "A few weeks ago I FedEx’ed a sample of my saliva to a bunch of people I do not know. And I am sooo excited to hear back. As some of you may know, I am one of the lucky folks who checks the “other” box when filling out documents asking what my ethnicity is. In basic terms my ancestors come from Holland, Indonesia, China and Jamaica. I am pretty sure my whitey side is all Dutch but I am slightly fuzzy about my mother’s peeps."

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li - News Round-up

Gamedaily.com did an interview with The Legend of Chun-Li film producer, Patrick Aiello:quote: "This picture is driven by story and character. This is a video game movie that is driven by characters in the story. The action is an organic result of the conflict that our characters find themselves in. We took great care to construct our characters' starting point, so when we watched them grow in separate directions, good and evil, the fighting scenes would be out of natural conflict and make sense. It's very much like Batman Begins in that sense."
The Legend of Chun-Li crew member, from Showreel.org retells his story on the set of the film: quote: "Kristen Kreuk and Chris Klein are really going for the stunts and getting thrown around. Kristen shows us new bruises and scrapes every day, and having watched the action unit’s dailies, I think they should be punished for inflicting so much misery on her. She never complains, although she’s working longer hours than any of the crew and getting beaten up. She just grins and gets on with it. I guess being Superboy’s girlfriend…"

Movie Madness Mondays: Amelie
quote: "When I first saw Amelie I was in a period of great change in my life. In Amelie I saw a lot of myself: her enjoyment of “little things”, her imagination as well as her struggle to connect with people. To me this is a beautiful story of blossoming. What does it take for a person to decide to overcome a fear? What does it take for a person to open up and to live more fully, with more presence?"
Newsdays Tuesdays: Television Starts to Court the Young Voter
quote: "Difficult to pick a news piece this week with the Olympics, the situation in Georgia, and with Pervez Musharraf stepping down in Pakistan… Thought that this article from the New York Times was especially pertinent to young folks like ourselves. Taking into account that we are not all American, what are your thoughts?? "

From Girls By Design Blog:
quote: "“Memoirs of a Geisha”
Interested to see what you all have to say about this… I have not read the book, so I am only basing my thoughts on the movie.
To me this movie was, above all things, visually stunning. It was so beautifully shot, lit and painted that were I to mute the whole thing and watch the images, that would have been enough."
