This season, in "Smallville", your character grew up!

That's right! Lana really changed. It is more amusing for me. After some years, all the actors saw their roles evolving. The series became more adult. I love to see my character grow like that. The writers done a good job.

What do you like in the fact of acting in this kind of fantastic show?

The kind interests me enormously. It is really very enriching. To each episode, it passes something extraordinary... I would like to turn in other shows, but until now, it's true that the most interesting proposals that I had was in the fantastic.

How do you explain that the public identified as much with your characters?

Even if Smallville concerns the fantastic one, all the characters are in a real world where there are extraordinary elements. I think that it's why the public likes Smallville. On the other hand, it's too much obvious. In life, nothing is ever very white or black, as that can be in Smallville...

If you could choose a superpower, Which would you choose?

I would love to fly! It's a dream, since always! (She laughs)

After 5 seasons of "Smallville", are you not bored by the character of Lana Lang?

It's thanks to Smallville that I have my notoriety of today. But even if I am very attached to Lana Lang, it's true: to act the same thing every time can become boring during a long time.

Have you some projects, like a film?

Sure. After a first role at the side of Matt Damon in EurTrip, I finished acting in "Partition" with Neve Campbell. I interpret the character of Naseem, a young Moslem woman, separated of her family. The film is held in India in the 40's.

"Partition" is completely different of what you have already done!

Yeah, that's right. It was a true challenge! With this film, I would like to prove that I'm able to interpret another role than Lana Lang. I hope that, henceforth, the directors will think more of me at the time of the casting of their films (she smiles).

Do you become aware that, thanks to this role, you became a sex-symbol?

No, I don't care about that. You must make a distinction between Lana Lang and who I am.
