When you started Smallville, did you think that the show would last
a long time?
No, never! I'm not able to say if a show or a movie will be famous. Since the beginning, Smallville has had the chance to have really good writers, who knew how to make Clark grow and the other characters without weary the fans.
The destiny of Lana Lang has been quite "disturbed" with
the arrival of Lois Lane. Has that changed for you?
To have Loïs Lane is one of the best ideas from the creators of Smallville, It's a great element. The show is more and more devoted to the mythology, to Superman, it was like a new day in Smallville. I think it's great.
You are in an epic love story, a drama called "PARTITION". How do
you do Smallville and do other projects at the same time?
I work without stopping because I don't need to have long breaks. Smallville is in Vancouver, my birthplace. During the year, I'm with my friends and my family. The other actors of Smallville don’t have that chance! I don't need to go back home and to profit of the summer.
Kreuk in Hollywood. Are you ready to stay there for your career?
No, never. I feel really good in Vancouver, and I hope I will stay there my whole life. To make a film in Canada is my first order when I read a script. So Smallville is perfect!
You've become a sex symbol for a lot of teenagers.
Maybe, but I don't do anything special to be "sexy". I don't like to be on magazines, I want to be anonymous, apart from Smallville. I don't want to be on the cover of every magazine! I hope that I'll be able to be an actress for a long time and to grow up and age, with different characters. I don't want Smallville to become the only part of me or for me to stay as Lana Lang all my life. I loved to work with Isabella Rossellini and I would like to have her longevity in the showbiz, in my career.
