From Globeandmail.com:quote: "Kreuk finds herself in the same boat now as many young actresses done for the moment with steady TV jobs and hoping her aspirations for more mature film roles can be met.
I've been doing TV for a long time, she notes. I just recently admitted to myself that acting is something I really want to pursue, so I'm working on finding roles that I'm really passionate about. It's challenging because there aren't a lot of amazing scripts out there, but also because it's going to take me time to build myself to the point that I can actually get the roles that I really want. I am so committed to doing that.
If that doesn't pan out, surely worshipful comic-book and, now, video-game geeks will welcome her back to the fantasy genre. But with all due respect, Kreuk hopes that doesn't happen too soon.
I'd love to diversify a little bit and then, maybe, come back to it, she says. The fandom is really intense, and they're really intense-positive and they're really intense-negative. So I got both sides of the spectrum when they hate you they hate you and when they love you they love you.
So I'd like to move away from that fandom and build my confidence a bit, then come back in when I have a thicker skin.
First step toward achieving that mighty ability: appear in something, maybe, that doesn't involve impossible powers?
I would love that! Kreuk says enthusiastically. That would be really perfect!"
